Andrea + Dennis are Married!
Andrea and Dennis are amazingly perfect for each other. It's hard not to feel their happiness when you're around them. Andrea is the sister of our dear friend, Hilary. Drew and I were so excited to capture this important day for them. It was sunny and beautiful, the subjects were gorgeous, and everyone was genuinely happy for the couple and showed it on their faces...what more could two photographers ask for? For the getting ready shots, I met the girls over at Dessange Salon in Chevy Chase, and Drew met the guys at the Doubletree Hotel in Bethesda. Then it was off to the ceremony at St. John's Episcopal Church, Norwood Parish in Chevy Chase. Andrea's stepfather was one of the officiants, and it was a beautiful ceremony. Then we headed to their reception at the fabulous Strathmore Music Center...oh what a fun reception this was. It was filled with dancing from the start - there was so much happy energy in the room. And to top it off, Dennis and his groomsmen did the Apache dance, which some of you might remember from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Drew and his college roommates did this dance at our wedding, but Dennis and his boys took it to the next level and did it without shirts on! OMG...these are so awesome! I love the groom shot with all of his guys behind him...it makes me smile! And it looks like the reception is rocking! I am going to get divorced so I can get married again and you can shoot it...
