Sweet Hairafter | Head shots

We photographed something different for a change! These beautiful ladies are all clients/friends of the talented hair stylists, Denise Sharpe + Kylie Hoben, of Sweet Hairafter in Bethesda, MD. Denise + Kylie needed some new portfolio shots for their website, and we were happy to capture their gorgeous work! With the help of a team of makeup artists and assistants, they worked fast and furiously to give these ladies fabulous new looks and then send them our way to be photographed. We set up our backdrop and off-camera lighting in a nearby hallway and shot away for a few hours. We're so happy with the results. Denise is a dear friend of mine and has cut my hair for years - she also did my hair for our wedding! If you're a future bride or just need a great new stylist, definitely check out Sweet Hairafter!

Sara + Zack | A Rehearsal Dinner on the Chesapeake Bay

Bringing their native Maryland and Louisiana roots together, Sara + Zack held their rehearsal dinner on a beautiful, summer evening at the Regatta Pavilion Room at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge, MD. The ever-amazing team from Ritzy Bee Events coordinated all of the details and everything ran perfectly, as always. Nautical inspired centerpieces, refreshing cocktails, freshly picked crabs in Old Bay-rimmed martini glasses, hilarious speeches, spiked milkshakes, popcorn, and s'mores...it was a night to remember.

Deirdre + Scott | Engaged

We've photographed Scott's family a few times and love working with them, so we were happy when we heard he was engaged to Deirdre and they wanted us to photograph the wedding, too! We spent a brisk afternoon with Deirdre + Scott in Fells Point and walked to their favorite spots, including the bar where they had their first date. We even got a few shots with Scott's other love - his Harley. We can't wait for their wedding in October!

Cory + Patrick | A Woodlawn Manor Wedding

The forecast was calling for rain on Cory + Patrick's wedding day, but Cory told her family she wasn't worried. She explained that she had emailed God at god.com about the weather and it would be fine. Turns out He listened, and the rain held off for them :) The day started at the Hyatt Regency in Bethesda where Cory relaxed and watched football while getting her hair + makeup done, and Patrick hung out at Guapo's with his boys. Then they traveled to Woodlawn Manor, a gorgeous historic property in Sandy Spring, MD. The sun peeked out and Cory + Patrick were married by Patrick's uncle in a touching ceremony, outside in front of the gazebo like they had always wanted. The night ended with juicy pulled pork + BBQ chicken sandwiches, mini-cheesecakes, and an AMAZING dance party. It was an awesome celebration.

Missy + Tu | Engaged

My dear cousin Missy is getting married to her wonderful fiance, Tu, at the end of this month. We love them both and were honored when they asked us to take their engagement pictures in California! We made the most of our 2 days with them and visited their favorite places, including Hallcrest Vineyards in Santa Cruz, the Redwood Forest, downtown Oakland, and Peju Winery in Napa. It was an amazing weekend! I can't wait for their wedding celebration in a few weeks!
