I know we have a lot to post, but we wanted to give our moms a special shout-out first. We feel so blessed that we live close to them and that they're friends with each other. Moms - we love you both very much! :)

The pic above was taken last weekend...at our NEW HOUSE! Yes, that's right. After 13 months of searching, waiting, and putting our real estate agent and loan officer through numerous offers, we finally have keys in our hands. And it feels so good! We truly believe that all of the stress and rejection happened for a reason, and we ended up with the perfect house for us. So if any of you are searching for a home and feeling discouraged, just know there's light at the end of the tunnel!
We haven't moved in yet, but we had the family over for Mother's Day so everyone could check it out. We sat on lawn chairs in the living room, ordered Five Guys, and the kids had a blast running through the empty rooms and playing on the jungle gym. It was a great day.
Here's our tiny abode :)

Of course none of this would have been possible without the tremendous help of our real estate agent, Kathy Morgan, and our loan officer, Ramez Fahmy (the brother of one of my closest friends, Randa). They both worked their tails off and had amazing patience (being first time homebuyers, we had A LOT of questions for them). We couldn't have asked for a better team of professionals to work with. If you're in the market to buy or sell in the MD/DC Metro area, I highly recommend giving Kathy and Ramez a call. You won't regret it.
On a side note - our wonderful friend and former bride, Leigh, came along with us last weekend to help shoot Lanie + Scott's wedding. She is so talented and we have so much fun every time we hang out. She just started a beautiful new blog called "The Photo Project" - it's very inspiring. Check it out here! She sent me the "in action" shots below from last weekend's wedding, and I love them! The shot on the left cracks me up because of Drew's face. He calls it his "dorkoid" smile. Man, I love him. Thanks again, Leigh! :)

One last thing, you must check out these awesome pictures that our friends Andrea + Renata took of us. We did a session swap with them a few weeks ago in Georgetown, and it was ridiculously fun. We'll be posting their pics in the next day or two, so check back soon!
