I'm ALMOST done with our blog backlog - just a few more posts and then we'll be all caught up! In July, we photographed our good friends Kristi and Craig and their adorable little boy, Cameron. Kristi was pregnant with her second baby, Dylan, at the time of our session - he's now a beautiful, healthy 2 month old boy. I'm sure he'll have his own blog entry on here sometime soon! It's always fun photographing friends - it never feels like work. Kristi and I have been friends for over 10 years. We were in the same sorority, and we also danced together on the Towson Dance Team. She's now a baton twirling coach and choreographer, and also teaches ballroom dance at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Columbia. She's an amazing dancer and teacher, so if you're in need of lessons, let me know and I'll give you her contact info! Kristi, Craig, Cam, and Dylan - we love you guys!

This last shot is my favorite. It's a little different from our norm, but it makes me happy.

Monday, February 25, 2008 Melody and I go way back... We were in the same sorority in college, and lived together for 2 years...and then after graduation, we went backpacking through Europe for a month (lots of crazy memories from that trip). She is one of my closest friends and I love her dearly. I was so incredibly happy for her when she told me she was pregnant last year. She ended up giving birth to her beautiful baby girl, Kendall, 2 days before our wedding...so she had a pretty good excuse for not being able to come :)
Here are some shots we took of Melody and her husband, Jared, a couple weeks before Kendall was born...

Fast forward 4 months... Kendall wasn't feeling well, but still managed to squeeze out a couple smiles (and half-smiles) for us. I had to make this next shot a big one because I love it so much :) Look at that face...

Now you can see who she got her gorgeous eyes from...

This next shot was Melody's idea and I love the way it turned out! Baby legs are so freaking cute.

I call this next one "tiny girl on big couch" :) Jared's mom is an artist, and she has so many unique sculptures and paintings in their house. The stick figure on the right was one of my favorites.

And just for fun, here's a picture of Melody and I with our huge backpacks. Hard to believe this was 7 years ago...
