Tottie & Dan
Thursday, April 24, 2008
This is Tottie and Dan...our first official bride and groom of 2008!! Tottie grew up in Columbia and went to my high school, but amazingly, I didn't meet her until after college when Lindsay introduced her to me. She and her fiance, Dan, are so sweet and cute together! We had an awesome time walking around with them at Lake Kittamaqundi and getting some fun shots. We're pumped for their wedding next month!! A special thanks to Lindsay for coming out to keep us company and holding the reflector...and for trying to make them laugh, although Tottie said that looking at my weird facial expressions was good enough for her ![]()

View their slideshow *HERE*! It's set to one of Tottie's favorite songs :)
More coming soon
Wednesday, April 23, 2008 I know I need to update this blog more often... I don't know how some of my favorite bloggers, like Smack and Kim, post almost every day. It's a job in itself. But I am going to try my hardest to blog at least twice a week from now on. It's a stretch, but I think I can do it!
Coming up...Tottie & Dan's engagement session, my nephews' birthday party complete with an alpaca and lots of cute little kiddies, the Burcham's family session in the rain, and other random stuff!
The Evolution of Lindsay's Hair
Saturday, April 12, 2008 Over the past 16 years, my BFF Lindsay has been very experimental with her hair. She's never had the same length/style/color twice. Here's just a sprinkling of the different styles she's had over the years... (I had to put the cheerleading one of us in here because I think it's hilarious - she is so hardcore)

I'm used to her changing her look, but when I saw her last weekend, I hardly recognized her! Here she is, newly darkened with bangs and GORGEOUS...

Lindsay has been through some big life changes this past year. She's one of the strongest people I know...and one of the smartest - she always has a right answer to everything. She means the world to me and I love her sooooo much. If you're in need of a hardworking and trustworthy family law attorney, if you're engaged and want a pre-nup, OR if you need someone to perform your wedding ceremony (yes, she's also an ordained minister), Lindsay is your woman! Contact me and I'll you give you her info!
Erin & Taylor

I have to say a huge thank you to Michelle Rose of Three Blondes and a Camera for this session. As most of you know, Three Blondes were our wedding photographers, and they have been a HUGE inspiration to Drew & I. Before we got married we weren't sure if we wanted to get into wedding photography because it seemed so stressful. But after seeing how Michelle, Lisa, Jamie & Laura worked during our wedding, our minds were changed. They were so professional, but still knew how to have fun. Our guests were impressed, as well. Michelle is the kind of person that you immediately feel comfortable with the second you meet her. Well, we've been keeping in touch, and she was nice enough to invite Andrea and I to second shoot Erin & Taylor's engagement session with her...and we had such a great time!! She's been so generous with her advice, and I'm grateful that I was given the opportunity to shoot alongside her and learn from her :)
As for Andrea, she also got married last year and is a Three Blondes bride. Not only do we have our wedding photographers in common and love photography altogether, we're also Asian and have white husbands named Drew! How weird is that? She randomly found our blog after she googled Three Blondes, so she left a comment, and that's how we became friends! Gotta love the internet. She just joined forces with her friend Renata and they've officially started their photography business. Their work is awesome! Check out their blog to see some of their recent stuff.
On to the models, Erin & Taylor... what a sweet couple. They are a product of match.com - proof that it really can work! They're getting married in May at the Ceresville Mansion, so Michelle thought it would be fun to go to downtown Frederick for their session. That area was perfect. I had no idea it was so cute! In addition to outdoor shots, we were able to get some shots of them inside Starbucks and upstairs in Brewer's Alley where they're having their rehearsal dinner. AND Michelle brought her video light! It was so cool to shoot with that for the first time. I definitely have to buy one of those now. So enough babbling - here are some of the shots I grabbed...

And three lovely ladies: Michelle, Erin...

and Andrea :)
Easter '08
Thursday, April 3, 2008 I know Easter was over a week ago, but this is how we roll :) The day was excellent, as usual. We went to mass and spent the afternoon with my family (which included an egg hunt and 8 kids running around being crazy). Then we finished the day off at Drew's parent's house, where we had a lovely (and quiet) dinner. Going from my family to his family is like night and day. You can't even hear yourself think with my family - it's always loud and rowdy. With Drew's family, everything is relaxed and chill. I love it - we get the best of both worlds.
Here are a few shots of the kiddos... Drew got this one of Paolo hula hooping. I love the movement.

Vinnie's such a big boy now :)
