Just wanted to post one of my favorite shots from Noel + David's wedding last month. Drew + I weren't able to have our grandparents present at our wedding, so shots like these always make me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

How yummy is that baby? :)

Erin + Ryan | Engaged

We heart Erin + Ryan! We spent a beautiful afternoon in DC with them over the summer. Georgetown was crowded, as usual, but we were able to duck into some alleys and walkways to get some fun shots. Then we headed to the Lincoln Memorial to end the session. They were up for anything and we loved hanging out with them! They're so clearly in love, and whenever they looked at each other and hugged, it made my heart melt. They're getting married in Erin's hometown in Pennsylvania next year. We couldn't be happier for them! Erin + Ryan - Thanks for a fun time! Wishing you all the best :)

A quick sneak peek from Kara + David's fabulous wedding at Glen Echo Park...

I know it's been forever since we've last posted. We have weddings and engagement sessions galore coming up on this blog, starting tomorrow! Right now, we're getting ready for Teresa + Cap's wedding at the beautiful Washington Golf and Country Club. We're excited to see them and also to work with DJ extraordinaire, Evan Reitmeyer, of MyDeejay.com again. Evan just posted a fantastic article on his blog with helpful tips about hiring a wedding photographer. Check it out here, if you're planning a wedding! Sarah + Jason | Engaged

Sarah + Jason have known each other since high school. They're such a sweet couple and so in love with each other. And they knew how to work it for the camera! We took pictures of them in Oxford, a quaint little town located on the Eastern shore. It was the perfect location for them. They're getting married this September in Easton, and we are so pumped for their wedding! Thank you to my friend, Kim, from college for referring them to us! You can view their slideshow here.

Dads

We love our dads. Coincidentally, they were both admitted to the hospital this week (for different reasons) and had surgery on the same day. It was crazy seeing both of our dads all tubed up and not knowing if they were going to be okay. Our prayers were in overdrive. Thankfully, both of them have been discharged and are on the road to recovery. It was a rough week, so if I've been slow getting back to your email or phone call, I apologize and will respond soon!

Right now, we're getting all of our gear ready for Bia + Steve's wedding in Baltimore. So excited for this one!

Lanie + Scott are Married!

We're kicking off our super blog catch-up fest with the lovely wedding of Lanie + Scott. It was held at Lanie's father's house overlooking the reservoir. The weather was perfect, the details were amazing, and the reception was rockin' all night long with dancing, cake smashing, and Scott tearing up the drums for a few songs with the band. It was a fantastic celebration! A huge thank you to our awesome friend, Leigh, for coming along to second shoot. View their slideshow HERE!

I arrived home late last night from an awesome week in California, spending quality time with my Mom and attending the AMAZING Lyon-shop (I am forever changed from this workshop). I'll be blogging about all of it very soon!

Right now we're getting ready for Kara + David's wedding at Glen Echo Park. We're so excited to shoot there for the first time today! Below is a little teaser pic of Kara + David. You'll be seeing many more pics of them in a few weeks. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Dharma + Andy | Engaged

Beautiful weather + cupcakes + awesome locations + ice cream + a fabulous couple = happiness

This was the earliest we've ever shot an engagement session. Those who are close to me know that I'm not a morning person, but for some reason, I woke up earlier than Drew (unheard of for me - at 5:30am no less!) to start preparing for Dharma + Andy's session. I was really excited. We met them at this adorable bakery and coffee shop in Alexandria called Buzz. It's so colorful and quirky, and has the most delicious cupcakes and pastries. We had fun eating our breakfast of sweets and taking a few pics. Then we headed to Old Town, where we made them kiss, hug, jump, climb, lay, trespass (well, it wasn't really trespassing because the woman came out of her house to talk to us :), and pretend to ride a chained up bike. They were troopers. Drew and I cannot wait until their wedding this fall! Dharma's really creative and pays a lot of attention to detail, so I know their big day is going to be fantastic.

The graffiti on the wall says "Lucky Charlie likes your face!"

Caught this little girl skipping down the sidewalk...so cute.

They're both avid bike riders, so this Bike and Roll shop was fitting.

And we just had to end the session with more sweets...yum.
